Born in London, England, and raised in Toronto, Canada, Charles Wahl started making short films in high school and hasn't let go of the camera since. An award winning filmmaker Charles has written and directed work that has been presented internationally at film festivals, run theatrically, been broadcast on television, and gone viral on the web.
Charles music video work has been featured internationally on MTV, Much Music, CMT, and BPM. As a young commercial director he is quickly moving up the ladder having directed work that has been featured in Shots, Ad-Week, Marketing Mag, Strategy Online, Fubiz, Ads of the World, Stimulant-online and many other publications. His list of clients include MINI, KIA, TD, Mazda, McDonald's, Nissan, Toyota, Quaker, Captain Morgan, Campbell's, Nestle, Bell, Blue Cross, New Brunswick Tourism, Nova Scotia Tourism, and The Vancouver Sun.
Charles wrote and directed his award winning debut feature film Webdultery which has won awards at numerous film festivals and was distributed in the USA, Canada, and internationally. Most recently his short video project - A Short Portrait: Brent - was chosen as the closing film of the TIFF x Instagram Shorts Festival as a part of the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival.
Charles currently splits his time between Toronto, Ontario and Halifax Nova Scotia with his wife, two young boys, and their dog Bitey.
